3 more killed in target killing incidents in Karachi

KARACHI: The incidents of target killing are continuing in metropolis while more than 3 people have been killed and 2 injured on Friday raising the death toll to 19 during last 24 hours.

The industrial city known as mini Pakistan has become prey of target killing. Some unknown people gunned down Rustam Khan near Metro Cinema; Banaras while another person has been gunned down in Qayumabad. A passerby was killed during exchange of firing between two political parties here in Pehalwan Goth while later he has been identified as Major (Retd) Iqbal Kashmiri, pilot of Chief Minister Sindh Syed Qaim Ali Shah.

The target killing is creating panic in Banaras, Sehrab Goth, Korangi, Gulistan Johar, Pehalwan Goth and Site areas.

Some unknown extremists targeted provincial Deputy General Secretary (ANP) Bashir Jan and his guards here on night between Thursday and Friday, Bashir Jan and his guard reported injured till filling of the report.

At least ten people including a minor girl have been gunned down in separate areas of Orangi town.

According to police sources the deceased have been identified as Dua Fatima (7), Faraz Uddin (30), Rashid Anwar (28), Javed (24), Naveed and Jumma Khan. The grandson of leader of MQM Shoib Bukhari has been gunned down. Ghulam Rasool (35) has been gunned down near Walika hospital.

Meanwhile, in separate incidents Muhammad Shafiq (40) and others have been killed by the extremists.
