Governor Punjab Suleman Taseer was assassinated on Tuesday afternoon by one of the guard of elite forces.

Governor House spokesman has confirmed that the Governor has been killed. The Governor received multiple bullet shots in his chest.

As per details, the governor was passing through Kohsar Market on his way to his residence at F-6 one of the posh sectors of Islamabad when one of the
Guards of Elite force fired multiple shots at him.

He was immediately taken to polyclinic hospital in critical condition. However he was pronounced dead at the Hospital.

It was still unclear whether the shooter has been arrested or not, According to TV channel 6 suspects have been arrested from the spot.
