RAWALPINDI: Security agencies have arrested father and four brothers of assassin of Governor Punjab Salman Taseer, Malik Mumtaz Qadri, and shifted them all to an unknown destination for further investigations.

According to sources, agencies were galvanized into action, immediately after the murder of Salman Taseer by his elite guard, r/o Muslim Town’s Yousaf Colony, living with his family since long.

His father Muhammad Bashir Awan, and four brothers, Safeer, Aamir, Dilpazeer, Abid and Fazal were arrested in a sudden raid by a heavy police contingent, which scared and panicked the entire resident community.
