MQM decided to sit on opposition benches in Parliament

ISLAMABAD: Muthida Qaumi Movement (MQM), the front line alliance of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has finally decided to sit on opposition benches in the National Assembly and Senate.

According to the media reports, a joint meeting of MQM Rabta Committee held at the same time in Karachi and London, which decided to sit on opposition benches.

It is pertinent to mention here that the situation was intensified when Sindh Home Minister, Dr. Zulfiqar Mirza tendered severe allegations against MQM on December 13th. Later on, a high level delegation led by Dr. Farooq Sattar met President and gave ten-day deadline for taking action against Mirza, which has not practiced thus far.
