ISLAMABAD: Despite opposition of Reformed General Sales Tax (RGST), the ice has started to melt between Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) and Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) as PML-N Chief Mian Nawaz Sharif has accepted the invitation of President Asif Ali Zardari to attend a dinner to be hosted in the honor of Chinese Prime Minister.
According to presidential spokesperson, Farhatullah Babar, President Asif Ali Zardari telephoned PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif and invited him on the dinner to be hosted in honor of Chinese PM at the President House. Other leaders will also be invited on the occasion.
The duo leaders agreed to work together for stabilizing the democracy and strengthening democratic setup.
He said that the PML-N chief has accepted the dinner invitation with thanks and the two leaders exchanged views on key national issues and current political situation.
Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao is scheduled to arrive in Pakistan on December 18 on a three-day visit. During his trip, Wen Jiabao will also address joint session of the Parliament on 19th of this month.
