Zardari not serious about BB’s murder investigation: Naheed,Safdar

ISLAMABAD: Former PM Benazir Bhutto’s trusted companions senator Safdar Abbasi and Naheed Khan have said President Asif Ali Zardari is non serious in probing the investigation of Benazir Bhutto’s murder and he wants to make the party his personal fiefdom .

Talking to a private TV channel senator Safdar Abbasi and Naheed Khan said that President Zardari is not serious in finding out the murderers of Mohtarma and not even once he has asked what actually happened on that day from us. Zardari wants to make PPP his personal fiefdom says Naheed Khan; He should know that ideology of Bhutto will prevail not Zardari’s ideology.

Narrating the details of the ill fated day Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was assassinated, Naheed Khan and Safdar Abbasi said that on the day we were sitting in the car with her and Zardari never even bothered to ask us as to what actually happened instead he said he does not want to see us anymore and than presumptions started within the party. Naheed Khan said that she was even said to have links with BaitUllah Masood, “if I am guilty then FIR should be registered against me”.

She further said President Zardari should know that he was entrusted by Mohtarma for his post and he should not consider it his personal achievement, she said Zardari started promoting speculations in the party and referred us as workers of the agencies. Mohtarma used to call me sister said Naheed Khan and she even took her last breath in my lap but she never mentioned about any will, only circumstances and time will reveal the truth.

PPP members and leaders are restless as to why the murderers of Mohtarma Benazir Shaheed are still at large; the PPP will have to answer this question before the next elections. PM says he is unaware of so many things happening in the party.

If President Asif Ali Zardari were following the ideology of Mohtarma he would have given precedence to the party over the presidency and would never have opted for this post.

Now Mohtarma’s children will follow the footsteps of their grandfather and mother, Asifa is taking keen interest in the politics.
