ISLAMABAD: Federal Information Minister Qamar Zaman Kaira has said that students play a crucial role in development of any country.

He expressed these views while addressing to graduates of Preston University at prize distribution ceremony.

Federal Minister said government is launching a Public Interaction Programme for youth in which they would be made aware of core issues of the country, as well as to push them to play their active role in finding solutions. He pointed out that no permanent political structure exists in country. Pakistan has countless resources, but due to huge security expenditures, government is incapable to perform efficiently enough, as it is tough to fulfill state responsibilities at their best when nation is facing terrorism threats.

He believed that in debilitating state conditions, unity among segments of society is the need of the hour. Those who believe that this war does not belong to us, they must consider the killings of Pakistanis, humiliation of mosques and darbars. He said that keeping this situation in mind, we need to make collective efforts so that a healthy Pakistan may be delivered to next generation.
