Woman flogged by Taliban surfaces, says she was wrongly punished

SWAT: A woman who was flogged by the Taliban two years ago has surfaced and claimed that she was innocent and was wrongly accused of having a extra marital affair.

Talking to a private TV channel, the victim woman Saira Bibi told that she was innocent and Taliban didn’t give her a chance to defend herself before punishing her by flogging her 30 times. She said that the man Haider Zaman she was accused of having an affair with is a family friend.

The Taliban had accused Saira of having extra-marital relations and flogged her as a penalty.

Saira called upon the government to give her justice she said that she believes in Allah that he would give her justice and she was brutally punished for doing no wrong .

Saira’s husband Fazl Azeem said that his wife is a pious woman and she is innocent.
