Respectable public transport for women started in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: City traffic police Rawalpindi have started respectable public transport for women in collaboration with International laboring Organization for Corner Group and Transporters Unions.
As per sources Chief Traffic police officer SSP Doctor Muhammad Azam and Senior Traffic officer SP Syed Ishtiaq Shah inaugurated the Respectable public transport for women in a ceremony organized here in Traffic police Head Quarter Recourse.
On the occasion stickers of Respectable public transport for women were being pasted on vehicles along with Cap and nameplate.
Chief Traffic officer told to media that in first phase this transport will be stated on route one and 10 vehicles will be included in it.
He added that Respectable public transport for women will be started on route one on experimental bases for 40 days, after that Respectable public transport for women transport will be started on others routes.
Special training on ethics will be given to the drivers of Respectable public transport for women transport, for this purpose special team has been established who will monitor the behavior of drivers and conductors with women passengers.
Chief Traffic officer has said, traffic police will fully cooperate with Respectable public transport for women transports, he further added that the service will start on other routs after successful experiment of route one.
