DUBAI: Pakistan Cricket Board has said that according to the information shared with the board by local authorities indicates that wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider has left UAE for United Kingdom.
In a statement issued by PCB it has said that the board continues to monitor this situation and is in regular contact with concerned authorities in this regard.
The statement says that Pakistan Team wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider left the team hotel without informing any member of the Pakistan Team Management and a full inquiry will be held into the circumstances surrounding his disappearance and no further comments will be made until the facts are known.
On the other hand PCB spokesman on while talking to media said, “This morning Pakistan Team wicketkeeper Zulqarnain Haider left the team hotel without informing any member of the Pakistan Team Management.
Zulqarnain was in possession of his passport at the time he left hotel which he had taken from Pakistan Team Management previous evening for personal use.
PCB has informed Dubai Police of the incident and also has brought it into the notice of ICC’’s Anti Corruption Unit. All other concerned authorities were also taken into the loop, he said.
