Motorway policemen caught giving fake challans

ISLAMABAD: Corruption culture penetrated in Motorway Police (MP) as IG Wasim Kosar introduced a new trend of presenting precious gifts to superiors in the organization in order to hide corruption.

Two motorway police officers are the example of such corruption as they started grabbing money by issuing fake Challans to drivers. Sub-Inspector patrolling police Masroor Memon and Collection officer Ali Hassan are issuing fake Challans from last one and half years giving loss of million of rupees.

Motorway police by suspending both the officers have started investigation into the matter and produce five Chalan books from them. The incident badly damaged the twelve year reputation of motorway police of being the most transparent institution of the country.

As the IG Wasim Kosar has assumed the charge, corruption is exceeding day by day in the institution. The incident of two police officers is not the first one as NA opposition leader questioned the motorway police performance.

The honest officers of Motorway police asked PM to take notice of the corruption that is damaging the institution’s reputation. Federal minister for communication also got reports of corruption in motorway police and action against corruption culture in motorway police is expected soon.
