RAWALPINDI: An armed person open fired on a family returned Katcheri Chowk Rawalpindi jurisdiction of Civil line police station, killing one while injuring two.

According to police on Thursday early morning two brothers Omar Masood and Usman were returning home from Germany after many years when on their way home after being picked up by their parents and younger brother near Katcheri Chowk when unknown Gunmen fired at their vehicle number LEC-6846. As a result of firing 30 year old Omar Masood was killed while his younger brother Usman Omar 25 year old and father Dr MAsood Anwar was injured, who is said to be in critical condition.

Luckily Tahira Masood mother of ill fated and Masood the younger brother remain saved. The police have filed the report. According to police officials the interrogations are underway in this regard while it is being suspected that the family has been attacked due to old enmity. The deceased would go to marry in next week.

A relative of the deceased said that he was killed due to matrimonial dispute because the deceased had been engaged with another girl.

Dr Masood Anwar told that he had no enmity with anyone. It is pertinent to mention here that three courts of Anti Terrorism, Justice and session judge and Commissioner office located close to the spot of the killing while jawans of Elite Force was serving duty on police point.

Civil line Police has started investigation after filing FIR against the accused while reason behind the killing has not yet been ascertained.
