ISLAMABAD: Despite the continues decrease in the price of oil in International market the Government of Pakistan, on other hand has decided to increased the prices of petroleum products in country which will be implemented from November 1.
According to details, the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) has increased the petroleum prices and notification has been issued in this regard. New rates would be applied after 12 midnight.
The petrol price has been increased by Rs5.97 the new price of petrol now is 72.96 per liter. The price of diesel has been increased to 4.51 makes the per liter price of lite diesel 66.61 whereas high speed diesel will be sold at 78.33.
The HOBC price raised by Rs7.11 and new price is Rs Rs86.67 while Kerosene Oil price now stands at Rs. 70.95 after an increase of Rs. 5.15.
Earlier, most cities across the country witnessed fuel shortages as petrol pump owners have created an artificial shortage of the commodity for windfall profits after reports spread that petroleum prices are going up.
Even before an official notification was issued regarding an increase in petroleum prices, petrol stations across the city suspended supply to consumers, creating difficulties for several motorists.
