CHAKWAL: Six doctors of district Chakwal have been admitted to different hospitals of twin cities after being affected by dengue fever in Chakwal, a local TV channel reported on Saturday.
Talking to local TV channel the MS of the district headquarter hospital Chakwal Dr. Alamgir Nawabi has said that the dengue-affected doctors include Dr. Mehdi Hassan, Dr. Iqrar Hussain Shah, Dr. Farooq Afzal, Dr. Azhar Mehbub, Dr. Badar-ud-Din and Dr. Aleem.
The MS also said that the affected doctors have been admitted to Benazir and Al-Shifa hospitals whereas to fill the gap of doctors in the hospital, doctors from the rural areas have been called for Chakwal. He also said that the areas from where the patients have come have been sprayed with anti-virus sprays.
According to sources of ministry of Health there are 1000 patients of dengue fever in Punjab, 430 in Rawalpindi, Islamabad, 150 in Khyber Pakhtoonkhwa and 5 in Azad Kashmir.
