Safdar Abbasi out from CEC membership

KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party has suspended Central Executive Committee (CEC) membership of its senior leader Safdar Abbasi,for violating party policy.

The action was taken by PPP’s General Secretary Jehangir Badar.

Safdar Abbasi was served a show-cause notice by the party the following day of his participation in a local TV program on October 19.

Meanwhile, Sherry Rehman, another senior leader of PPP, also received a show-cause notice from the party today.

It is pertinent to mention here that PPP has boycott Jang and Geo Media group and told its leadership not to participate any of the programe of the this media group as they (PPP) believe that this media group is targeting PPP from the last two and half years.
