IIUI to remember blast victims on Wednesday

ISLAMABAD: The International Islamic University, Islamabad (IIUI) has decided to organized two separate functions at its Male & Female campuses on 20th October to remember twin bomb blasts victims of IIUI campus last year.

Special prayers and Quran Khwani will be held for those who lost their lives in this tragedy.

The terror of that attack on 20th October 2009 is still in the minds of students when two suicide attackers blew themselves up at two campuses of the International Islamic University in Sector H-11.

The first blast occurred at Boy’s Section of Sharia Faculty of the university while Cafeteria of Girls Section rocked by another blast.

The blasts took the lives of two male students (Hafiz Nafees Anjum & Hafiz Khalil ur Rehman), Six female students (Amna Tahir, Amna Batool, Tayyaba Hina, Aqsa Malik, Hina Nawaz & Sidra Khalid) and one employee (Parvez Masih) and injured 50 others.
