LONDON: PML-N Quaid Mian Nawaz Sharif has said that President Asif Ali Zardari is responsible for the sorry-state of affairs of the country and advised the President to apologize from the nation and return all the looted fortunes of the country to its people.
In a press conference held here in London, Nawaz Sharif said that the president had breached all the promises and agreements in the past, adding it was the government which backed out from all its promises. He further said that if the deteriorating situation of the country is left un-addressed then everyone would be responsible for it. “We do not want a Pakistan where there is no reverence for the judiciary and the Supreme Court”, he added.
Mian Nawaz Sharif also said that the country is in deep crisis at the moment and positive minded people have rendered great sacrifices for the country. He blamed the government for always being on the begging side, disgracing the state’s image. He said that justice should be done in Akbar Bugti’s assassination case in order to ensure peace in Balochistan. He blamed the president for the crisis and said that he should not exploit the country for his own benefits, adding the country is in difficult situation and it is a high time to save the country and it needs a new social contract.
To a query, PML-N chief said that there is no need to respond Pervez Musharraf’s statements and clarified that he signed COD (Charter of Democracy) with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto nor with President Asif Ali Zardari. Lamenting over the law and order situation of Karachi, he said it seems no government exists in the country. He stated that the investigation should be carried out for dispersion of news regarding repeal of judges’ reinstatement notification.
