MQM considering breaking away from coalition fold

KARACHI: In order to resolve the thorny and bloody issue of ruthless target killings’ spree in the Metropolitan City, MQM has started contemplating breaking away from the ruling coalition, among various other options, including immediate resignation by Governor Sindh.

Private TV channel has reported that Governor Sindh, Ishrat -al-Abad has held telephonic conversation with PM regarding the issue, and seriously conveyed his reservations regarding the bloody situation of Karachi, and MQM’s reservations over the issue.

Governor Sindh informed the PM that a strong group within the coalition was conniving with other adversaries of MQM in a bid of committing atrocities over MQM, while discrimination with MQM within coalition folds were also on the rise.
