Latif Khosa resigns as Advisor to PM

ISLAMABAD: Advisor to Prime Minister on Information Technology (IT), Sardar Latif Khosa has tendered his resignation and would appear in the Supreme Court in order to dynamically defend the government’s stance in NRO review petition.

Sources said that the Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani has accepted the resignation of Latif Khosa and he is likely to appear before the apex court as a government lawyer on Wednesday. As per details, a high level meeting held under the chair of President Asif Ali Zardari while Federal Law Minster, Dr. Babar Awan, Latif Khosa, constitutional experts and ministers also attended the meeting. The meeting decided to strongly defend the government in NRO review petition in the court and Latif Khosa could play pivotal role in this regard.

After that an important meeting held between the Prime Minister and President, where PM accepted the resignation. When Online contacted Press Secretary, Shabir Anwar to ascertain details the details, he having become annoyed over the statement expressed ignorance in this regard. On the other hand, sources in the government confirmed the Khosa’s resignation.
