We are doing important duties, provide us bullet proof cars: Federal Ministers

ISLAMABAD: Majority of Federal Ministers of the current Government have demanded the Prime Minister that because they are performing important duties with their lives at constant risk so they should be allowed to import duty free bullet proof cars.

According to details a federal minister informed that Raja Pervez Ashraf, Nazar Gondal, Hamid Saeed Kazmi, Imtiaz Safdar, Rahmatullah Kakar among many others, have pleaded that they should be allowed to import duty free bullet proof cars.

They have cited the examples of former Premiers, Mian Nawaz Sharif, Chaudhry Shujaat and Mir Zafarullah Jamali as ‘their justification’ for their demand; especially Chaudhry Shujaat and Jamali are still using one officially provided bulletproof car, as yet.

However, PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani has simply brushed aside the issue, providing no concrete assurances to his demanding cabinet, while ministers Qamar-uz-Zaman Kaira, Babar Ghaouri and many others have strongly rejected this demand, citing the harsh and cruel reality of historically impending flood disaster, and any such luxurious and lavish move would raise a media and public furor; a logic strongly adhered to by PM, who has decided to tread carefully over the matter.
