Supply to NATO remains suspended on 5th day

PESHAWAR/ ISLAMABAD: Supply to NATO troops via Pak-Afghan Torkham border, remained suspended on 5th consecutive day as container supply oil to NATO were not given permission to go to Afghanistan on Monday.

According to private TV channel, more than 200 containers supply to NATO via Pak-Afghan Torkham border remained un cleared on 5th day.

The supply was suspended as few days ago NATO helicopters killed three Pakistani security personnel while carrying out operations in Pakistani territory.

A high level team of Pakistan Army has been sent to Afghanistan to probe violation of Pakistan territory while the team is discussing the matter with NATO officials there. On the other side, incident of attacks on NATO oil tankers is increasing day by day. During night between Sunday and Monday Nato oil tankers were attacked in Islamabad. Pakistan declared the NATO attacks as a public reaction.

Meanwhile, Sihala police have filed case against unknown people on charge of attacking NATO oil tankers under the sections of murder and terrorism, and also arrested five suspects in this regard.

After the terrorism attack at NATO oil tankers, Interior Minister Rehman Malik has sought detailed report from IG Islamabad in 24 hour, in this regard.
