Jatoi removed on favoring corruption and blaming army

QUETTA: Federal Minister for Defense Production Abdul Qayyum Jatoi was made to resign by the Prime Minister on Saturday after failing to justify his statement in which he favoured corruption and blamed Pak army and judges.

Jatoi, in a press conference in Quetta, said that not only government parties, Judges and political parties have the right to make corruption but everyone should have given this right.

He also blamed army and said army is not here to take away our rights to kill our leaders, to kill Nawab Akhbar Bugti to kill Benazir Bhutto, we have given them uniforms to fight on borders not to fight with us.

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani took strict notice of the statement of State Minister for Defence Production and summoned him Islamabad for clarification in this regard.

Jatoi unable to clarify his statement and was asked to gave his resignation. His resignation has been accepted by the Prime Minister right away.
