House arrests Salman Taseer, bans Interior and Law ministers in Punjab: Sanaullah

LAHORE: Provincial Minister for Law, Rana Sanaullah Khan has said that besides other steps for maintenance of peace during Muharram-ul-Haram, if Governor Punjab Salman Taseer is made house arrest in Governor House while the entry of Federal Law Minister Babar Awan and Federal Interior Minister Rehman Malik is banned in Punjab, it will help improve the law and order situation in Punjab.

Talking to media men here on Wednesday, Rana Sanaullah Khan said that Governor Punjab has nothing to do, therefore, he will spend a good time inside the boundary wall of Governor’s House during sacred month of Muharram-ul-Haram. He said that Punjab government has proof of this fact that Governor Punjab, Babar Awan and Rehman Malik are planning to spread sectarian violence in Punjab. He said that after the incidents of Data Darbar and Karbala Gamey Shah, Governor Punjab instigated Shia and Sunni
Ulema to launch a movement against Punjab government.

Provincial Law Minister said that Babar Awan has a criminal record who received Rs.3.5 crore as bribe in the name of judges of supreme court in Haris Steel Mills Fraud Case. He said that Babar Awan has used plane for distribution of crores of rupees in various places. He said that the objective of this stray movement of Babar Awan was only to put the law and order situation at stake in Punjab by launching a movement against judiciary. He said that the whole world is aware of the fact that from where Babar Awan got crores of rupees.

Rana Sanaullah said that everyday 93 people were killed in Karachi as a result of target killing but Rehman Malik, Governor Punjab and Babar Awan do not demand resignation and launch any movement. He said that why they did not term the police and concerned provincial government as failed there. He expressed apprehension that Babar Awan with the help of available funds can hatch a conspiracy of bloodshed in Punjab. The Law Minister said that PML-N demonstrated extreme patience during the last two years and if the federal government did not refrain from its acts, in such case, procedure of constitutional change can be adopted.
