Dozens of anti-India protesters injured in IHK

Srinagar: In occupied Kashmir, after the killing of four civilians including three students by Indian paramilitary and police personnel at Palhallan in Pattan, the people across the valley took to streets and held anti-India protest demonstrations. Dozens of people were injured in police actions at different places of the valley.

According to Kashmir Media Service, several civilians including two young boys Omar Ahmad and a teenager Abid Bazaz were critically injured when police and paramilitary CRPF troopers fired teargas shells to disperse protesters at Fateh Kadal and Habba Kadal in Srinagar.

At Nowpora, a group of CRPF personnel barged into homes and broke household goods and valuables including TV sets, refrigerators and the windowpanes of vehicles parked in Alamdar Colony.

Thousands of mourners who visited the residences of the victims of Indian state terrorism in Batpora and Wasun in Palhalan shouted pro-freedom and Go India Go slogans and expressed solidarity with bereaved families. The protesters also staged sit-in on Srinagar-Baramulla Highway and demanded an end to unabated civilian killings by men in uniform.

Several people including Zakir Ahmed, Muhammed Sultan and Muhammad Abdullah were injured in Islamabad, Kadalbal, Pampore, Ganderbal, Sopore and Trehgam in Kupwara, Meanwhile, Indian troops arrested Farooq Ahmed and Nawaz Ahmed from Labar and Marmat in Doda.
