Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani ordering to immediately take back all perks from NAB Prosecutor General Irfan Qadir has said that the new Chairman NAB would be appointed after Eid ul Fitr.

According to PM House, Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gilani has ordered Federal secretary law and Justice to implement the orders of the Supreme Court regarding Irfan Qadir in letter and spirit and all perks which he is getting as NAB prosecutor general should be withdrawn.

It may be reminded here that a three-member bench of the Supreme Court had declared the appointments of NAB’s Acting Chairman Javed Qazi and Prosecutor General Irfan Qadir, unlawful.

However in defiance of Supreme Court’s orders National Accountability Bureau Prosecutor General Irfan Qadir had refused to relinquish his charge and said that he was appointed by the President and only President has the authority to remove him.

IN this regard sources told PM has taken strong notice of Irfan Qadir’s refusal to obey SC orders and continue to work as NAB prosecutor general and has ordered action against Irfan Qadir.

Sources told that PM has decided to take all stake holders in confidence regarding appointment of new NAB chairman.

An official notification was also moved on Monday that Irfan Qadir would continue to work at his portfolio and on Tuesday Irfan Qadir continued his duties despite orders from the court and arrived his office.

He said that NAB didn’t fall under law ministry, therefore he was not bound to follow the directives from the law ministry and would continue his duties until orders from the president House.
