11 million looted in Tando Allahyar

Unknown armed dacoits barged into a bank in main Tando Allahyar city, and looted transfer certificates and cash to the tune of over 11 million on Friday.
According to the police and bank officials, the armed persons barged into Habib Bank bus terminal branch, a densely populated area of the city, at 9 am, and overpowered the bank staff and security guards.
They injured a security guard Mohammad Khan Leghari who offered resistance.
The dacoits remained in the bank for half and hour, and fled in a golden colour Suzuki Mehran car with transfer certificates of Rs 6 million and cash of over 5 million.
The police, as usual, reached the spot after dacoits finished their business and decamped without any difficulty. The district police officer, Munir Ahmed Khuhro, and other police officials also visited the spot, and inquired about details of the incident.
The police have cordoned off the entry and exit routes of the district, besides conducting raids in different areas. However, no arrest was made till the filing of this report.
