As there is the allegation on pakistani players of spot Fixing The Former ICC Chief executive, Malcolm Speed, has urged Pakistan to be banned from international cricket. According to him the controversy deserves serious considerations by the ICC to ban Pakistan form the international arena. The statement came in the wake of recent alleged spot fixing by Pakistani players and the emergence of video clip depicting Mazhar Majeed with a huge cache of money. Mazhar

Majeed was arrested on 29th August over the alleged conspiracy to defraud bookmakers, but was later released on bail without any formal charge sheet being raised against him. The video clip was released by a British tabloid, who published the alleged story of misappropriations. The alleged video revealed clear conversation by the bookie Mazhar Majeed, claiming to buy Muhammad Asif and Muhammad Amir for deliberately throwing no balls during specific overs.

The validity of the video couldn’t be yet proved but the correct identification of no balls and comparing it with the real match scenario raises very serious doubts about the integrity of the players. Pakistan suffered a humiliating defeat of an innings and 225 runs against England in the Lord’s Test. According to some sources, the alleged misappropriations in the form of spot fixing by Pakistani players were already in the knowledge of Scotland Yard’s Assistant Commissioner. The Scotland Yard had got a tip off from some credible sources and had put the Pakistani players on surveillance after the information.
