Delegation of lawyers meets CJ

Chairman Association of Pakistani Lawyers Amjad Malik and other lawyers presenting shield to CJ.

The Chief Justice of Pakistan Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry, on Monday said that the relationship between lawyers and judiciary is based on mutual respect and this mutual respect will not only enhance the dignity of the institution but also strengthen it and now it is the duty of legal fraternity to respect the judiciary and to make it strong institution.

The Chief Justice said this while addressing a delegation of lawyers headed by the Chairman Association of Pakistani Lawyers Amjad Malik at Islamabad.

The CJ said that the lawyers struggled hard to standby the Judiciary for rule of law and supremacy of the Constitution. They travelled long distance to support and assist the movement which was for the cause of independence of judiciary. They faced hardships but no one could flinch them from their cause and destination.

At the end Chairman Association of Pakistani Lawyers Amjad Malik, offers CJ to visit England and also presented him a shield.
