Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif made a telephonic contact with Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani on Sunday evening.
As per media reports the chief minister requested the prime minister for suspension of DPO Sialkot in the backdrop of barbaric incident of torturing two brothers to death in open day light in presence of the police.
The Prime Minister assured the chief minister that his suspension orders would soon be issued. Meanwhile Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif visited the family of victims in the day and declared while talking to media that independent investigation of the incident would be held and the persons deputed for purpose by the court and administration were very credible.
He also announced that responsible would be prosecuted in anti terrorist court by holding hearings on daily basis. Shahbaz also ordered for taking into custody the former DPO Sialkot.
