29 August to be the last for parties to declare their assets: ECP

Chief Election Commissioner Justice(Retd) Hamid Ali Mirza has advised all parties to submit the record of their assets by 29th August.
Those parties that fail to submit their records will not be allotted election symbols.
According to the press release issued on Friday by the Election Commission of Pakistan, The Chief of Election Commission has underscored that parties should submit all records pertaining to their assets by 29 August. There should also be a duly signed circular by the party leader which along with the declaration should contain the proof that the funds for the party had not been collected from any other source, as forbidden by Political Party Act 2002. The Election Commission has also ruled that the party leader will personally submit the assets statement. Any statement received through the post, courier service and fax will not be accepted.
