5 more killed in Karachi firing

As many as five persons have been killed including doctor and political worker in various incidents of target killing in Karachi, said police.

Police sources said that in an area of Nazim Abad Police station near Nazim Abad No. 7 unidentified persons resorted to firing on Motor Car no. AHQ-117 killing doctor of City District Government Hospital Karachi while his driver sustained injured. Later both were rushed to Abbassi Shaheed Hospital, whereas, police said that further investigation is continued.

In another incident 2 persons were killed by the firing of armed men in Golimar area of Pak Colony Police Station while the deceased were identified as Gul Murad and Saeed Mirza.

In the jurisdiction of Iqbal Market Police Station in Orangi Town Sector 11½ near Yaqoob Abad, police found dead body of Mudassar Hussain strained with bullets aged 28 years from an empty plot.

Meanwhile, in an area near D.A. Chorangi of Nazim Abad, a man named Afsar along with comrade attacked on Anwar Khan and his brother Laeeq by axe, as a result Anwar Khan died on the spot while his brother sustained severe. Police said that Anwar belong to Mansehra and currently was residing in Nusrat Bhutto Colony, Karachi.
