Met Office has forecast another spell of moon soon rains in upper parts of the country within the next 48 hours.
As per met office report heavy rains are likely to lash upper and eastern parts of Punjab including Lahore, Gujranwala, Rawalpindi, Faisalabad, Sargodha and Bahawalpur division while torrential rains with thunderstorm and lightening are likely to strike the federal capital, Hazara, Peshawar, Mardan, Bannu, Kohat, Dera Ismail Khan, Malakand Division and AJK.
In the most parts of Sindh and Balochistan weather will remain dry. Gilgit and Baltistan will receive scattered rains.
Report reflects that all the eastern rivers and dams have been filled to their capacity and the impending wave of rains may lead to create flood like situation in these rivers. Therefore, all the concerned administration should take timely measures for protecting the people against the loss of lives and property, report stressed.
High flood is recorded at Guddu in river Sindh where flood flow of 900000 to 1000000 cusecs will pass through affecting the areas of Khair Pur, Ghotki and lower areas of Sukkar.
During the last 24 hours 53 millimeter rain was recorded in Faisalabad, 51 each in Sialkot and Sahiwal, 27 in Chitral, 22 in Islamabad, 21 in Balakot, 18 in Saido Sharif, 7 in Rawalakot, 6 in Okara and 34 millimeter each in Muzaffarabad and Murree.
