No one should be allowed to score points on water issue: Shahbaz Sharif

Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif said that No-one should be allowed to point score on water issue between Punjab and Sindh adding that Punjab will neither desist from its allocated water share nor take even a drop of water from Sindh’s share.

Addressing the provincial Assembly on Wednesday, he said that Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani commands full authority to appoint member of IRSA from anywhere, however it was dictatorial regime of Musharraf, who violated the representation of federal government in IRSA.

He also pointed that the country in prevailing circumstances couldn’t afford any confrontation and all the issues should be settled with mutual understanding.

Chief Minister Punjab also held responsible the former dictators for ongoing challenges in the country related to water crisis adding that differences between Punjab and Sindh on Chashma-Jhelum link Canal would be settled amicably.

PML-N does not intend to violate the constitution of the country like a dictator and consider media as fourth pillar of the state and honors the freedom of media.
