“I am neither going to resign nor on leave” says HEC Chairman

Higher Education (HEC) Chairman Dr Javed Leghari said that he was not going to resign from his portfolio nor he has submitted any application for leave.

Talking to a private TV channel on Wednesday, Chairman HEC said that degrees verification process was in the final-phase and HEC has been transparently performing the task for parliamentarians’ degrees verification.

He also said that some elements were airing baseless news that “I am going to resign from my portfolio of HEC Chairman or I have submitted a leave application, adding that these news were totally baseless, as neither I have resigned nor I will resign from this portfolio even after completion of degrees verification process”.

HEC Chairman reiterated that the commission is doing its job with responsibility and all the fake degree holders parliamentarians would be disclosed before the nation.
