Punjab Assembly unanimously passes resolution against media

Punjab Assembly has unanimously passed resolution against media here on Friday while, media walkout from media gallery to protest against the resolution.
As per details, Sana Ullah Masti Khail in presence of Chief Minister Punjab Mian Shahbaz Sharif presented resolution in Punjab Assembly against media, which has been approved unanimously while, the media walkout from press gallery to protest against the resolution. The media men torched documents of the resolution and chanted slogans. The media announced to boycott the coverage of Senate proceedings till withdrawal of the resolution.
The resolution has concerns over irresponsible behavior of media and propaganda made by some parts of media against democratic institutions, political leaders and public representatives and deems it that the propaganda could impose negative impact on future of democracy, supremacy of law and constitution.
It has been said in the resolution that the all members of the Senate vehemently condemn the irresponsible propaganda campaign against democratic institution and public representatives and have demanded of the media to stop blasphemous and baseless programs against democratic institutions, political leaders and public representatives in nation’s interest.
The House deemed that the media showed irresponsible behavior and made bad example of ethic by telecasting photage of honorable female members of the Assembly with vulgar Indian songs.
The meeting has demanded of the media to shun telecasting the blasphemous programs against honorable female Assembly members.
Although the house agreed with the sacrifices rendered by responsible and objective journalists and paid homage to them. The House demanded of the responsible of freedom of media to play role for eliminating irresponsible reporting and propaganda against political leaders, to gain specific interests.
