Former president Supreme Court Bar Association Barrister Aitzaz Ahsan said that the judiciary and the ruling government are in a mood of confrontation with each other.
Talking to media in the precincts of Lahore High Court on Wednesday, he said that administration should be made bound to ensure implementation on the decisions of the judiciary.
He also pointed out that parliament has unlimited powers regarding legislation, however government should be bound to implement the verdicts of the judiciary.
Responding to a question regarding grants for lawyers bar associations in the country from federal minister for law and justice, he said that grants shouldn’t be taken in wrong context adding that grants were being given for welfare of lawyers community.
Replying to another query, he said that governor Punjab Salman Taseer used to make his own statements and owing to his statements, he has developed his own typical style ‘Toaps’.
