Forensic Science Laboratory in its final touches

Dr. Humphrey, a forensic expert from America, Dr. Muhammad Ashraf Tahir, DNA expert and Mr. Nayyar Mahmood, Project Director, Implementation Unit, Forensic Science Agency established under the aegis of Provincial Home Department called on Chief Justice Mr. Justice Khawaja Muhammad Sharif of the Lahore High Court in his chamber and explained in detail various functions of the Forensic Science Laboratory established by the Punjab Government.
The Laboratory is in its final touches and will start functioning by October this year. Inshallah after the laborious work of five years the Lab will yield results at par with American investigation system.
Chief Justice observed that Punjab Government has done a good job by establishing this sophisticated lab of high quality. It is a challenging job for its managers. It seems a dream in the present circumstances and I pray for its success. However, nothing is impossible as hard work coupled with sincerity can lead to the achievement of such gigantic criminal cases by providing quick, solid and reliable evidence, which lacks in the present era.
The delegation thanked the Hon’ble Chief Justice for participating in the concluding session of the Seminar on Forensic Science and showing keenness in its proceedings held at Punjab Institute of language and Culture Auditorium, Lahore. It depicts the dedication of the Hon’ble Chief Justice towards dispensation of justice, members of the delegation said. The guests were also given souvenirs by the Hon’ble Chief Justice at the concluding of the meeting.
