Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that the policy of reconciliation of the government has put democracy on track adding that it is now the duty of all the political parties to work together for the progress of the country
He expressed these views during meeting with Ayaz Amir, MNA, PML (N) and Raza Hayat Hiraj, MNA PML (Q) who called on him at PM’s House separately on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister mentioned that the Government has allocated developmental funds across the board to each and every member of the parliament irrespective of their party affiliation. Now it is incumbent upon them he added, to utilize these funds in the best possible manner for the benefit of the people.
Prime Minister Gilani reiterated that consultation with the public representatives would also be held to evolve a strategy to generate employment in the country to address the issue of employment.
He stressed upon the public representatives to regularly monitor the development schemes to determine causes of delay and ensure quality of the work. He further said that all the parties and the provincial governments are being consulted to finalize developmental schemes to avoid overlapping.
Both the Parliamentarians appreciated the Prime Minister for his nonpartisan democratic approach. They also discussed progress of the development schemes launched in their constituencies with the Prime Minister.
