The Sindh Government would present deficit budget for fiscal year 2010-11 with total outlay of Rs. 370 billion ON June 11.
According to sources, Chief Minister Sindh, Syed Qaim Ali Shah would present the budget in the provincial assembly with no new tax. The budget for new fiscal year is Rs. 43 billion more as compare to budget for current fiscal year.
The estimation of budget deficit is between Rs. 22 billion to Rs. 25 billion and in the current fiscal year, budget with deficit of Rs. 17 billion was presented by Sindh Government.
According to sources, the 25 percent increase in salaries of government employees is expected in the budget while an amount of Rs. 119 billion is likely to be allocated for annual development projects. The 55 to 60 percent increase is also expected in the budget for development schemes.
Sources further told that the distribution of Agriculture Land among farmers and Haris would also be announced in the new budget.
According to sources, the quota for new jobs in budget for new fiscal year is not much as compare to the budget of current fiscal year. In the budget for current fiscal year, 60,000 jobs were announced in police and other department, however, in the new budget, several important programmes related of provision training to youths would be announced.
Sources further said that the budget in sectors of Education, Health and in Law and Order would be increased manifold after getting the control by provinces over these sectors.
