Karachi police foiled bank dacoity bid in Orangi Town area near Ali Garh area and during cross firing between the dacoits and police One robber died and another was injured while Police also arrested three dacoits.
According to details Five armed dacoits entered in a bank near Ali Garh Bazar in Orangi Town area and held hostage the bank staff and the visitors in the bank, however on quick response the police take positions around the bank, on which the dacoits opened fired, while in retaliate firing from police personnel one dacoit was killed and other injured, while two policemen were also injured in the cross firing.
SP Raja Umar Khatab talking to media after clearing the bank from the hostages said that police first evacuated the Bank staff and other visitors from bank and later fired tear-gas shells inside bank and held the armed dacoits.
Police also recovered hand grenades and weapons from the detainee dacoits and shifted them to Orangi police station for preliminary investigations.
