MQM has boycotted the meeting held in Chief Minister House on law and order situation saying the meeting will remain fruitless if Hazara Tehreek which is real party to target killing incidents is not invited in the meeting.

According to a private TV channel, a joint meeting of PPP, ANP and MQM was convened in Chief Minister House here. The MQM leadership had demanded that the leadership of Hazara Tehreek be also invited in the meeting. In consequence of non acceptance of this demand MQM boycotted the meeting.

MQM was of the view that it was being shown in media that target killing in Karachi was the matter to which MQM and ANP were parties. “We have serious reservations over it. It is not our problem. We want peace in Karachi. We will not attend the meeting as our demand has not been accepted”, MQM said.

Talking to a private TV channel, MQM leader Waseem Aftab said the real party to Karachi incidents were those who were behind Hazara Tehreek. If the real party was not invited in the talks then these dialogue would be likened to that if Kashmiris were not invited to dialogue between Pakistan and India on Kashmir issue.

If Karachi is disturbed then the whole country is disturbed, he warned.
