President honor Sindh Madrsatul Islam university status

President Asif Ali Zardari has honored Sindh Madrsatul Islam the status of University and also announced a grant of Rs. 2.5 Million for foundation of its Islamabad Campus.
According to reports the President on Tuesday announced to honor Sindh Madrsatul Islam the status of University on the occasion of Inauguration of three days Quaid-e-Azam International Conference at Chief Minister House Karachi.
Talking to reporters the Advisor of PM for Education, Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali has said that decision of awarding status of university to Sindh Madrsatul Islam would also be approved from cabinet and later in the shape of bill would be approved from Senate and National Assembly.
Sardar Asif Ahmed Ali further said that Sindh government would allocate and provide property to Sindh Madrsatul Islam main University, which would be established in Karachi while federal government would allocate a grant of Rs. 2.5 Million for the establishment of Islamabad campus.
He further said that after 18th amendment education was expelled from Federal concurrent list and was included in the Provincial concurrent list.
