Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has said that government is determined to bring about economic stability in the country by achieving sustainable growth in all sectors.
According to Spokesman of PM House, Prime Minister was talking to Federal Ministers who called on him at PM’s House here on Wednesday.
The Prime Minister said that the security situation in the country has gradually improved thus providing a conducive environment for the investors. The strengthening of democratic institutions, he added would further contribute in enhancing the confidence of potential multinationals.
The Prime Minister asked the Ministers to focus their attention on preparing proposals for the forthcoming budget which could help the downtrodden section in acquiring maximum relief. He further asked them to increase their coordination with the provincial governments in the preparation and execution of various projects. He said that the rationalization and prioritization of the development projects is very important in this regard.
The Ministers informed the Prime Minister about their respective Ministries and on the status of the ongoing development projects.
The Ministers included Federal Minister for Labour and Manpower, Syed Khursheed Shah, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Food and Agriculture, Mr. Nazar Muhammad Gondal, Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Mr. Qamar Zaman Kaira and Minister for Water and Power, Raja Pervez Ashraf.
