Minister for Defense, Chaudhary Ahmed Mukhtar has said the government is not granting extension to the Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani.
Talking to media persons after offering Fateha Khawani of Justice Khalil-ur-Rehman Ramdey’s nephew on Sunday, the Federal Minister said the Chief of Army Staff has also not demanded any extension in term.
Responding to a question about the Swiss cases, Ahmad Mukhtar said it is not easy for the present government to write letter to the Swiss Authorities for the reopening of the cases. The PPP led government would not write letter to the Swiss Court against its own President.
He said there is no confrontation between the government and the judiciary adding that the government has no serious problem from the judiciary. He said the President could be removed only through impeachment.
To a question the Defense Minister said India and Pakistan have restarted the process of composite dialogue, which is a good initiative adding, that war is not the solution of any issue. He said all the issue could be resolved through negotiations and talks.
He said for the first time in history of Pakistan the salaries of Pakistan have increased up to 62 percent.
