By-elections polling closes

Various polling stations of Punjab Province, holding by-elections witnessed many situations of exchange of harsh words, minor scuffles and disputes, controversies increased the political heat of the Province; thankfully without any occurrence of any serious incident.
Two constituencies, of Punjab, NA-167 of Vehari, and NA-178 of Muzaffargarh, and two Provincial constituencies of PP-259 of Muzaffargarh and PP-63 of Faisalabad started their polling as early as 0800 hrs amid stringent security measures.
The polling station of Muzaffargarh NA-178′s, established in Muzaffargarh Girls High School, witnessed an exchange of harsh words, and even firing between supporters of PPPP candidate Jamshed Dasti and Jamhoori Watan Party candidate Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmad Khan, which caused a minor break in voting process.
The supporters of Nawabzada Iftikhar Ahmad Khan have accused of their polling agents being assaulted by Jamshed Dasti and his accomplices. However, according to district coordination officer Muhammad Aslam Wazir, heavy contingents of Rangers were also deployed to ward of any unwonted incident.
Another clash between supporters in the polling station of Muzaffargarh’s Station Kot Ratta injured three, causing a long break in voting process.
In another clash between supporters of polling station of constituencies of polling station No. 27 of PP-259, Bhindi Korai,
Police reverted to baton charge; while two were injured of firing of Khalid group.
Angry persons are also reported to have damaged the car of candidate, Muhammad Khan Jatoi.
