24 Ambassadors reach Skardu to attend first IBC

The Ambassadors of 24 countries arrived in Skardu on Friday to attend the first International Business Conference (IBC)

According to details the Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan has invited the Ambassadors of twenty four countries to attend the IBC, the first of its kind in Gilgit Baltistan . It is also expected that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani and Governor Gilgit Baltistan would also attend the conference.

The government of Gilgit Baltistan has many expectations from this conference and for this purpose it has made arrangements on large level. Sources said the basic purpose of the conference is to discuss how to create investment opportunities in the field of Hydel electricity, minerals, dry fruits and tourism. Agreements in diverse fields will also be signed on the occasion.

Earlier the Ambassadors were received by the provincial ministers and officials on their arrival and they visited Shangrila and Sadpara Lake. The Ambassadors also watched a polo match and appreciated the hospitality of the provincial government.

The countries whose Ambassadors are attending the conference include Iran, Afghanistan, Jordan, Tanzania, Romania, Russia, Bulgaria, Zurich, Korea, Philippine, Sudan, Hungry, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, Kenya, Bangladesh, Bahrain, Sweden, Indonesia Italy Brunei and Saudi Arabia.
