Chief Minister Gilgit Baltistan Mehdi Shah has said there is no immediate threat of outbreak of Ata Abad’s artificial lake while all the precautionary measures have been taken after consultation with the experts.

Addressing a news conference here on Wednesday the Chief Minister said government is taking every possible step by its available resources to cope with the expected natural disaster while they would utilize all the resources to protect the people of the affected areas.

He said opposition is creating pessimism and chaos among the masses by promoting negative propaganda. Wapda officials have confirmed that Tarbela Dam has no danger from the outflow of lake’s water, the CM remarked.
