3 killed in remote controlled blast near Peshawar

Three persons were reportedly killed and three others injured in a remote controlled bomb-blast in Shamstu camp area of Peshawar here on Wednesday.

Police informed that the intensity of the blast was so massive that it also damaged nearby houses and the seminary adjacent to the Shamstu-Camp area adding that all the three deceased were students of the seminary, who were returning to their homes

Rescue Teams and police reached immediately on blast site and shifted the victims to the Lady-Reading Hospital, while police cordoned off the area and initiated search operation in the area against suspected persons.

President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani have strongly condemned the blast and said such acts of terrorism will not deter the government’s efforts in the fight against terrorism.
