Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has said that PPP led government would complete its tenure of five years and those who are looking for opportunity should wait for their turn.
Addressing a public gathering held on Tuesday at Muzafargarh the Prime Minister said Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto has sacrificed her life for the rights of the people adding that she rendered great sacrifices for the poor people of Pakistan.
Gilani further said they are confident because the people of the country are with them and they would overcome the difficulties soon. President Asif Ali Zardari has spent 14 years in prison while he also spent 5 years in jail but never dealt with any one, the Prime Minister remarked.
He said PPP government is not the outcome of any deal but the masses of Pakistan has elected it and it would complete its tenure. This area is the stronghold and fort of PPP while the last political rally of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto was held in this city, the PM added.
Prime Minister Gilani said they would develop this area in the memory of Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto. He also urged the masses to vote Jamshed Dasti because he is the part of the workers. He said PPP has never given party tickets to any industrialists or landlords.
Earlier talking to the media persons at Bahawalpur Airport the Prime Minister said PPP would fully participate in the by-elections and it came into power through people’s mandate. He said PPP is playing its role to strengthen the democratic institutions.
The PM said workers are the asset of PPP and solution of their problems include in priorities of the present government. PPP led government believe in independent judiciary while the government would also resolve the problems faced by the lawyers.
PPP’s district president Shakir Maraz informed the Prime Minister about workers problems while the PM assured him that all the problems would be solved as soon as possible.
Prime Minister Gilani announced several development projects for the district including Motorway from Bahawalpur to Faisalabad, lawyer’s colony and district bar library.
