Quaid Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), Altaf Hussain has said that Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani’s statement regarding Hyderabad has hurt the feelings of millions of people but masses of Hyderabad should not consider them alone because PM would not take any decision without taking his allied parties on board.
Addressing an emergency meeting on Saturday at MQM’s international secretariat, the MQM Quaid appealed the Prime Minister and President Asif Zardari to take notice and stop their Ministers from issuing provocative statements besides foiling the conspiracies of clash between MQM and PPP.
He said MQM is a pro-democratic party and it has supported the government unconditionally for the sake of strengthening democracy. He also appealed the masses to keep patience because PPP led government would not take any decision without taking all the stakeholders on board.
The MQM Quaid further said the government would complete its tenure and his party would not take any step to derail the democratic process. He said MQM has supported the demands of new provinces for the welfare of masses.
He said that conducive environment prevails in the whole province including Karachi but few elements wanted to create confrontation between the two parties. He said he belonged to this province and he would never betray the people
